4 buttons are added, X, Y, L and R. But the analog stick didn't come until the N64 came out. It's fine because the SNES has mostly 2D games on it, so it's great for what its used for.

This controller does not come close to comparing to an original SNES controller. The buttons are way to stiff and feels nothing like the original. Also, the cable is much shorter. You are better off just getting a used original controller, even used its still better quality and they almost never fail if u take care of them.
